Chess Boards
I currently offer three basic board designs. The "Tournament" style board is the least ornate, essentially a field of squares surrounded by a beveled frame. This is a good choice if you prefer a simple design. It is also the least costly. The "Signature" style features an inlaid banding surrounded by a wider frame with a "pillowed" edge profile. The "Deluxe Inlaid" design is characterized by a lower profile border with a checkered inlay. Please keep in mind that any of these design elements can be combined. For example, the inlayed banding on the Signature board can be done with the checkered pattern used on the Deluxe Inlaid board or vise versa. I am also happy of design custom boards incorporating the customer's ideas of what their board should look like.
Left and Above: Deluxe Inlaid board in Striped Ebony and Bird's Eye Maple. Holly and Ebony inlay with Padouk corner accents
Right and Above: Signature Line board in Rosewood and Curly Maple. Banding is Curly Maple to match light squares. Border is Rosewood to match dark squares. Inlay is Rosewood with an Ebony center accent.
Above: The interlock that joins the squares. This is common to all boards regardless of style.
Above, Above Left, Left: Signature board in Purpleheart and Satinwood. Checkered inlay of Ebony and Holly. Note the superb contrast between the pieces and squares.

Tournament board: Left: Rosewood and Maple with a Mahogany frame. Above: In Rosewood and Curly Maple
